Ask-An-Earth-Scientist

ALCOM Science and Technology Center: Ask A Scientist. ALCOM is dedicated to liquid crystal research and encompasses physics, chemistry, mathematics, computer science, polymer science, and display engineering. Through ASK A SCIENTIST you can link to ALCOM scientists, mathematicians and information specialists and pose questions.

AskA+ Locator. Get connected with experts on the Internet! Profiles of AskA services can be searched by various fields, or descriptors, (keyword, subject, grade) by entering a term or combination of terms and choosing a Boolean operator (AND, OR, NOT).

AskERIC. AskERIC is the Internet-based education information service of the federally-funded national information ERIC System, headquartered at the ERIC Clearinghouse on Information & Technology at Syracuse University. AskERIC is composed of three major components: AskERIC Q & A Service, AskERIC Virtual Library and AskERIC R&D (Research & Development). With search engine.

US Geological Survey (USGS): Ask-A-Geologist. The USGS offers an internet e-mail service for general questions on earth sciences. Each e-mail message sent to Ask-A-Geologist is routed to a different USGS earth scientist. The scientist will reply to your question in a few days.

MAD Scientist Network: MAD Sci is a collective crania of scientists answering questions in many areas. MadSci Library provide access to other science sites and resources on the WWW including links to other "Ask-A-Scientist" sites.

ScienceNet, UK. A free science information service. You can search their site to find an answer or send a new question. Go to: Earth Sciences.

Stevens Institute of Technology, Center for Improved Engineering and Science Education: Ask An Expert Sites.

US Geological Survey Library Electronic Reference Service: Ask a Librarian. If you are a student, teacher, or researcher, you may use the e-mail reference service for assistance in finding information on geology, hydrology, cartography, biology, paleontology, environmental science and related topics. A USGS reference librarian will attempt to respond within 3 working days. The response may include an answer to your question, a list of resources that will help you find the answer, or a request for clarification.
