Buds globular, 2-4 rrin. long, brown. Leaves nearly obovate to spoon-shaped, bluntly acute, dark green, glossy, mid-green to paler below, 6.8-9.5 cm. long by 1.5-2.6 cm. wide. Male strobili light green, relatively thick, to 13 mm. wide; microsporophylls relatively thin, 1-2 mm. wide.
